I can fully and whole heartedly recommend Dr. Ian Chan for Laser Eye Surgery! I have undergone the SMILE laser eye surgery one month ago now and am even surprised of the good results. I have read a lot of reviews in general of this type of eye surgery and went to Dr. Chan for the first time in February. After wearing contact lenses almost non-stop for 6 years my eyes were hurting and very dry, Dr. Chan recommended not wearing contact lenses for several weeks and using eye drops for my eyes to be healthy enough for surgery. I booked the appointment 2 months after and was quite nervous for the surgery. The day of the surgery the team was very assuring and soothing, which made my experience comfortable instead of scary. The surgery itself was quick and absolutely doable (haha) and Dr. Chan as well as the team gave me a comforting, calm feeling. After the surgery Hua Yee has explained how to use the eye drops and gave some snacks too (very much needed after all that nervousness I’ve had!) The follow up appointments were very good as well. I was able to express my concerns and worries and the team listened carefully and checked thoroughly. After 1 month I have perfect vision, no blurriness whatsoever and am so incredible happy for this new life without glasses and contacts!

Couldn’t be happier with my decision to go through with laser surgery and am very thankful for everyone at Aculase for their help during the process. I haven’t been able to stop smiling since the surgery and my reclaimed ability to see the world around me unaided. They were very open and informative about the different avenues you can take regarding surgery avenues. I underwent SMILE on their recommendation and the way I was treated on the day of surgery was first class. Everyone from the receptionists, the patient counsellors to Dr Chan made me feel safe and comfortable. They even sent me home with a goody bag of eye drops and some snacks. For anyone anxious about having someone poke around in your eyes (as i was), the surgery was short and pain-free. I actually felt calmer during the surgery than I did in the waiting room. Would still strongly urge anyone considering laser eye surgery to do thorough research and figure out if they are a good candidate for it. But if you are making the decision to go through with it I couldn’t recommend Aculase highly enough.

A eye opening experience! I had smile surgery and I could not be happier with the results did my research before coming here and I picked the right place. Prior to surgery all my questions were answered and the time was spent to make sure I knew what I was getting myself into. The staff were lenient with my time and the surgery was amazingly simple and fast, after surgery I pretty much rested and listened to podcast. Day one it’s foggy but every day it was better and better and within 4 days I could see some amazing things. All in all I highly recommend them and I highly recommend the procedure the results are amazing and not having to put contacts in now is something that’s worth it in itself. I still stop and look around trying to comprehend just at what is possible with modern technology. All in all highly recommend the staff are delightful and very knowledgeable and the clinic is very, very clean and professional standards are at a high. I’ve added my before and after eye sights just to show what is achievable and let’s just say a picture tells a thousand words and I’m seeing a lot clearer of a picture now.
