My first experience getting a wax in Australia and, while both staff members were very friendly and welcoming, I did leave feeling a bit disappointed. The technician who did my lower legs was kind and professional; however, I had specifically mentioned that I do not wax above my knees. She acknowledged this but unfortunately waxed above my knees on both the front and back of my legs. This was frustrating, as I had been clear about the area I did not want waxed and I don’t normally remove hair there. It also would have been appreciated if a towel or sheet was provided for coverage when having more intimate areas waxed. I want to emphasize that I’m not trying to be rude or criticize the staff personally — everyone I interacted with was very nice. I’ve simply had waxing and sugaring done for over 10 years and in many different countries, so I’ve experienced a wide range of service standards and have come to appreciate certain details that make clients feel more comfortable. I was coming in for a full body spray tanning service. I struggled with parking and locating the site due to ongoing constructions however I made it on time. When I got in, the staff was talking to the other customers for about 5 minutes(booking with their appointment and exchanging compliments), so I patiently waited. When I was attended, the staff said that my appointment is cancelled due to being late and my deposit has been forfeited. I was very disappointed. Hope they can train their staff to improve their service and how to prioritise.
