5.0Dr Gillespie has been my dermatologist of choice for over 10 years. He has attended to my skin concerns in an efficient, knowledgeable and caring manner. I would highly reccommend him and trust him completely. I know that he would go above and beyond to treat my skin concerns and i feel very safe knowing he conducts my skin cancer checks and feel confident that he will not miss anything that could be cancerous. His treatment advice for any minor or major skin issue has always been spot on and i am thankful for his care. Thank you Dr Gillespie. Mandy Smith

1.0UPDATED NOW TO 1 STAR. The office called me today because they saw my review and wanted to discuss. I said that I felt uncomfortable at my visit and maintain what I said (see below). I asked what the intended outcome was of this call… They said that there were a “series of misunderstandings” that they “wanted to clear up.” ATTN to this practice: do not call and try to gaslight me, make excuses, or attempt to persuade me to take down/adjust my review. You have collected my private details for the purposes of my medical visit, not to ring and discuss your brand. Don’t violate or breach my privacy because you want to damage control. It’s simple: provide a safe, respectful and honest experience and you will get better reviews/recurring clients. ### original post/review below ### Headline: Dr Gillespie was not trustworthy, his interactions were socially unintelligent and his billing practice feels borderline fraudulent. Advice: Go somewhere else unless you want the ‘fast food’ dermatology option (less than 20 min plus high chance of running behind, and a feeling of not getting what’s best for your health). My story: I booked over the phone and said I was being referred for a skin check, have some growths looked at and removed, and possibly get medication for a BCC and sun spots. I was told I would get a “long appointment” so he could address everything. Flash forward to my first appointment… He was running behind by almost 30 minutes. No apology or indication of time from the reception staff. During my appointment, he tells me that he has to leave because he was running late and didn’t have time to remove the growths I was referred there for… BUT not to worry, I can schedule a time in 3 weeks to come back and he wouldn’t charge me for the follow up visit. Total time in office: less than 10 minutes Flash forward to today, the second appointment. Another 30 minute behind schedule occasion, no apology. But this time I’m not surprised. I get called in. He removed the growths - yay! He then says to me: “I’m going to give you a discount for this visit since I’m not sending the growths to pathology.” Wait… what? I politely remind him that he told me to come back free of charge since he ran out of time. His demeanor immediately changed. He says that he is “entitled” to charge me because he did a service. Fair enough. He did, and I can’t contest that. However, it should have been done at the initial consult I paid for. So, I ask him to help me understand why I’m paying when it was his fault he ran out of time the first time, when he could have honored the original appointment and stayed for the 10 min to get me to a standard 20min appointment. What exactly did I pay for on that first visit, I wonder…? He fumbled, couldn’t answer, then repeated that he is entitled to charge me and I should be happy that he isn’t charging me a more expensive item number. I felt uncomfortable at this point, so I paid and left. In summary: It was an horribly inconsiderate interaction and I cannot shake the feeling that I have been scammed. I believe he intentionally provided an incomplete service, forced me to take more time off work to come back, then demands that I pay again (and that I should be grateful). I’m never coming back, and you shouldn’t come here either.
