I’ve been going to north Sydney medical practice for the past 3 years as my local GP. I have never had a bad experience, the staff have all been professional and Drs experienced and helpful - as you would expect from a GP clinic. I would highly recommend them for general GP care.

I have never left a negative review before: Dr Brown was incredibly rude and unprofessional my whole family has seen him and we all agree. I went in for laser wart removal and he was extremely rough and completely obliterated my nail bed. I recently went to a podiatrist (as the wart remained) who informed me that laser treatment should never have been performed this close to the nail bed and half my big toenail will never grow back now. Dr Brown should have known this and told me. (his behaviour was very nasty as well but I won't get into that) In addition he butchered my mothers cyst removal and left her with an unnecessary huge hole and shoddy stitches which did not last 2 days. My sister was also treated poorly and left crying. I will never forget Dr. Brown and will remember him as the worst doctor i've ever been to. He graduated university in 1976 and maybe 40 years ago he would've been a good doctor but he is so clearly fed up with his profession now. Avoid him at ALL costs. (edit: It's been 4+ years & my big toenail still looks dreadful.. so wrong) (also I had to delete the original review with 5 likes and re-upload this with my secondary email to keep my main email professional for work. But I still went through all this trouble again because obviously it still bothers me immensely.)

As other reviews have detailed - my appointment was a complete waste of time. I have had skin cancer checks before so I thought I knew what to expect, but Dr Brown had ZERO bedside manner, completely blunt tone, bordering on rude. The whole appointment was just awkward. I saw the doctor for all of 2 minutes before being dismissed. I wish I read these reviews before going in, never again. In my experience there are many polite, professional and thorough doctors in skin cancer clinics in Sydney, don't waste your time with this one.

I agree with the previous poor reviews left here. I went for a skin check. I explained that I hadn’t used sunscreen or protection since I was a teenager up until last year (26 then). That I had plenty of new sun spots and freckles across my body and this was my first ever skin check at 27. I was on the room for a maximum of 90 seconds. The entire ‘full body skin check’ lasted for just over 60 seconds and he charges $60. Unacceptable. This downplays the IMPORTANCE of checks and the seriousness of misdiagnosis. If he’d had asked too he would have known I shaved my head completely twice and that was a potential risk too that was never check. I can accept his bluntness or lack of conversation but to charge for a job not done at all isn’t good enough. Guess I’ll have to find somewhere else this week to actually have a skin check...

I have seen three doctors here and two of them deserve negative reviews and one a two star. I honestly don’t know why I tried a third time. Perhaps because they are so terrible they always have availability at a moments notice? Went in and saw Dr. Brown about switching back to an original script and addressing some some concerns about a contraceptive pill I was taking. He never answered anything, shrugged and said you could try something else. Without asking anything after his statement he printed my script and I was out the door in 2 minutes after being seen 10 minutes late after my scheduled appointment. Shame on your entire clinic! As another reviewer stated, go across the road and book an appointment - even if that means waiting three weeks for a desired time.
