Thank you to Silk Nurse Laura and the team at Silk Hobart. Laura is by far the most skilled and knowledgeable injector I have been to and the experience was welcoming and comfortable. Laura was really able to assist me with choosing the most appropriate treatments based on my personal concerns. I cannot recommend the service at Silk Hobart highly enough!

Had an amazing experience at Silk Laser Clinics Hobart! Nurse Tori who did my injectables was fantastic. Skilled, professional, and made me feel super comfortable. The front desk staff (I think her name was Shaan) were incredibly friendly and professional.

I’ve had the best experience here. My laser hair removal results have been absolutely amazing. I’ve seen several of the staff and every single one has been professional, knowledgeable and so lovely. I’ve also seen the nurse for Botox and lip filler and the results are incredible. Super natural, subtle and exactly what I wanted. Couldn’t recommend them more highly!

This was a very rude and discriminatory place. I have never experienced such disgusting and unprofessional service before. I am from Asia and my English is poor. I can understand a little, but speaking is very difficult for me. I booked an appointment and went there for laser treatment. When the staff asked whether I could come with an interpreter, I said it was not possible. They told me it was fine and that I would only need to fill out some forms. I arrived at my scheduled time, waited at the door, and then filled out many forms. After completing the forms, I was told to follow the laser technician into the room. Once inside, the staff member asked if I had done this treatment before. I said no. Then the staff member asked again if I had someone to help with translation, and I said it was not possible. I was told that without an interpreter they could not continue the treatment because it involved a medical device. I was only there for laser hair removal, and I did not understand why an interpreter was required. They repeatedly insisted that I must bring someone to translate. As a woman, being asked to bring another person to see my private body parts and translate is completely inappropriate and unacceptable. I was very shocked and said I could not do this. They then said they could not provide the service. They told me they could not treat someone they could not communicate with and asked me to leave the room. I was shocked and confused. The staff member left, then I was escorted back to the reception desk and told to make another appointment. Again, they said I must bring an interpreter if I wanted the treatment. I explained that I could not do this, that I had no one to translate for me, and that I was about to travel to Sydney. They then said they would reschedule my appointment. This entire experience was extremely rude. Even though no service was provided, I was made to waste my time filling out many forms. From the beginning, it was clear that my English was limited, yet I was treated poorly. For something as simple as laser hair removal on the arms or legs, language should not be such a serious issue. Simple instructions like “raise your arm” or “lift your leg” can be understood by people from any country. Because of this experience and the way I was treated, I cancelled the service.

I had left a 5 star review earlier last year regarding nurse Laura but unfortunately I have to change it. I’ve been injected with massester Botox twice by Laura at age 20 and 21. I have come to learn that I was never a good candidate for it and hence it has had adverse affects on my appearance including jowls, lower heavy face and increased skin laxity, I’m 21! Laura did not diligently evaluate my face or advise that I wasn’t suitable, nor did she advise me of any risks or side effects that are involved with the treatment. Had I been properly looked after, informed and evaluated I would never of had this done. Folks, please do yourself a favour and find an injector that’s going to tell you NO and ask about the root cause of your concerns and not just do what you ask straight off the bat. I was in and out in 15 minutes both times. I take responsibility for being naive and uninformed but I feel it is malpractice to treat someone before doing your due diligence. It is clear they are there for a pay check and are not concerned with the well being of their clients. I will not be returning and will be advising people to stay away from Laura if you want to be looked after properly and get satisfactory results
