5.0Phoebe was very attentive and detail orientated. Good experience with the microdermabrasion and laser treatments. Would highly recommend.
3.0Average. The laser hair removal level felt extremely weak, almost imperceptible. The sessions were very quick, and for several times I didn’t feel it covering 100% of the marked area. What made me feel even worse was being told to use the bathrooms at Myer while waiting. I’ve never been to a beauty service with a waiting area where customers couldn’t use a bathroom. It was uncomfortable and disappointing.
1.0Lack of critical thinking from staff and a lost customer I was transferred to this clinic after the Clear Skincare I used to attend shut down. Before my session, I had already stated that I was around session 12 and very unwilling to accept “patches” because I am the one paying for these treatments. They assured me: “Yes, we completely understand. You have 14 days after treatment to come back for patches.” So I did that because I ended up with more patches than ever before. The lady with the orange fake tan, who seems to be the manager, scheduled me a touch up session but said she would not be doing touch ups in the future (contradiction). She allowed me another session even though she kept insisting that the employee who treated me would never miss a spot because she has been doing this for ten years. According to her, it was my body hair’s fault and part of the usual “hair growth stage” explanation. I tried to explain that randomness does not create patterns. My hair would not naturally form circles of no hair or a perfectly straight line of over 10 cm of black hair grouped together. They did not want to listen and kept repeating what sounded like an institutional script: blame the client who also does not want to keep doing touch ups. Even when the growth cycle will not allow the hair to fall, if the hair is hit by the laser it will be affected. It will have burned tips like others did and just may not fall out. Hormones can influence regrowth speed and density but they do not prevent the laser from burning the hair tip. If the laser energy reaches the hair physics dictates that absorption and heating occur regardless of hormonal state. When I asked a follow up question about how hormones inside my body would prevent the tips from burning they kept saying I “do not understand hair.” Maybe they do not understand basic physics.
1.0I had the worst experience at this skin laser clinic today, February 27. I was assisted by Kate and had booked a laser treatment for my underarms, Brazilian, and half legs. However, as soon as she checked my legs, she grabbed a razor without my consent and immediately started shaving. She did this so roughly that she left scratches on my skin about ONE AND A HALF LENGTH!!, causing bleeding and pain. I have a photo with me to share as a proof. I was furious! If she thought my leg hair was too thick, she should have asked me first instead of shaving without permission. Only when I reacted in pain did she stop and reschedule my session because she had already injured my skin. Next, she checked my bikini area to see if I had shaved. I had already done so, but she still insisted on rescheduling my Brazilian treatment, claiming it wasn’t properly shaved. The only area not shaved was the upper part of the bikini line, which doesn’t even require laser treatment. Lastly, I asked her to proceed with my underarm laser treatment, at least to make my visit worthwhile. However, she barely did anything—just tapped the laser on two or three spots per underarm and claimed it was done. The entire session lasted less than a minute! I didn’t even feel the laser properly covering my underarm area. When I complained, she didn’t seem to care. This was by far the most unprofessional and disappointing laser treatment I’ve ever had!
