I have been regularly going to Silk laser Woden for over a year and all of the girls are so lovely and accommodating which is why I keep coming back. Recently I have had Jacquie who has been extremely knowledgeable about my skin, health conditions and just in the techniques used as well as being lovely to deal with.

Extremely poor customer service. I’ve called multiple times over several weeks to book in my already prepaid sessions, and not once were my calls returned despite leaving several voicemail messages. When I finally managed to get through, I was simply told they are “very short-staffed” and don’t have time. That’s not acceptable—if a clinic is this overwhelmed, it should be made clear before taking people’s money for prepaid services. At the moment, it feels like once payment is taken, customer service becomes non-existent. There’s clearly a lack of basic communication and organisation. Ignoring customers for weeks is not just unprofessional, it’s disrespectful. Given the experience so far, I would strongly recommend thinking twice before committing to prepaid sessions here.

4 of 9 or so of my last appointments there were rescheduled, sometimes at a day's notice with me showing up anyway as I didnt get the text. This clinic is a real mess. High turn over of staff, sometimes they are very good, other times they do a half job - perhaps the workplace needs to become better? I book weeks in advance due to work obligations and they just won't care and will cancel on you. A real shame to the brand. That hasnt happened to me interstate. Very disappointed and hoping they will address this issue

TLDR: Head up to new clients: Silk Laser Clinic Woden cancelled my appointment on the day after four previous laser hair removal, suddenly claiming I needed to use a tyrosinase inhibitor—something they never explained, never discussed, and never required before. Please ask them upfront about pretreatment requirements and your exact skin type before signing anything. My experience with Silk Laser Clinic Woden has been nothing short of infuriating. After four treatments, they cancelled my latest appointment on the day, blaming it on a supposed requirement for a tyrosinase inhibitor—a requirement they never once brought up in any previous session. What makes it even worse is their communication. Instead of calling me like their messages claimed (“we’ve attempted to contact you via phone...”), they only sent me SMS. If this pretreatment was genuinely important, relying on SMS and zero actual conversation is downright careless. Their excuse was buried in a consent form, which states that higher skin types need a tyrosinase inhibitor for two weeks before treatment. The problem? - They never assessed or told me what my Fitzpatrick skin type actually was. Fitzpatrick skin type range from I-VI. I don’t know what skin type is considered “higher skin type score”. Very vague. - I’m a Type III, maybe IV max, which should’ve been determined from day one. Is this "higher skin type score"? - They went ahead with multiple sessions without ever raising this requirement. Calling that “informed consent” is laughable when nothing was properly explained. It feels like they’re backtracking to find a justification for their own inconsistency. To top it off, their own website does not list this pretreatment as a requirement for laser hair removal at all. It appears under laser skin rejuvenation, other laser treatment but NOT laser hair removal. The consent form itself is vague and doesn’t even specify which treatment type it refers to. The whole thing comes across as sloppy, confusing, and unprofessional. They had four opportunities to discuss this with me. They didn’t. Then they cancelled on the day and acted as if this was somehow my fault for not following instructions I was never actually given. Would not recommend this clinic.

Frequently cancel appointments within 2hrs via text, or generic email. Rescheduling is left to the customer, which would be better if the staff answered the phone, or called back messages. The rate of cancellations, and then availability to reschedule has made treatments ineffective due to the varying time-frames between appointments. Would rate lower if I could.
