Dr. McDonald is personable and knowledgeable, which is why I have continued attending his clinic. However, 9 out of 10 of my appointments are rescheduled, often at short notice, because he is away or unavailable. I completely understand that family emergencies and holidays happen, and I genuinely hope his mum is not in pain. The frustration lies in how rescheduling is handled. When appointments are moved, I’m not given a choice of day or time, and the same level of flexibility is not offered to patients. For example, if I call asking for a quick cortisone injection for an acne cyst, the response from reception is rarely helpful. Additionally, skin checks seem to be done visually only, without any devices or technology, I’ve given 3 stars because Dr. McDonald himself is great, but the constant rescheduling and poor reception service are disappointing—especially for patients who take time off work for these appointments. I really hope the clinic can improve its booking process and customer car

My GP referred me to Dr Emma Starritt at Sky Blue Dermatology. The reception staff asked if I had visited before, when I explained this is my first time referred, they said they were not taking any new patients, that they have no waiting list. I asked if they could suggest another clinic and they could not. I now have to find my own dermatologist and then my GP clinic will update my referral. I suggest the clinic puts on their website that they are not taking more patients, so that we don't waste time and can get treated faster.
